The branch of veterinary surgery and obstetrics is one of the important clinical branches in all colleges of veterinary medicine, because it guides veterinary students and teaches them methods of applied and clinical surgery in addition to reproductive care for economic animals, and it represents an important part and a basic pillar of veterinary science.

1. Providing the necessary qualifications to prepare a traditional veterinarian or doctors specializing in veterinary surgery and veterinary obstetrics to treat field and domesticated animals in the region.
