Objectives of the College of Veterinary Medicine

Objectives:
1. Graduating veterinary medical cadres who possess the scientific knowledge and skills regarding the necessity of prevention for the development of livestock.
2. Providing scientific advice to animal breeders, poultry farm owners, and fish farming ponds.
3. Providing veterinary services to our local community through the scientific branches affiliated with our college.
4. Opening veterinary consulting clinics and field trips for our students to livestock projects within the governorate or major projects throughout Iraq, which opens new horizons for the advancement of veterinary medicine in Muthanna Governorate and Iraq in general.
5. Preparing special programs to control communicable and preventive diseases through vaccine programs.
6. Controlling epidemic diseases coming from outside the country.
7. Protecting the public health of society by eliminating media that transmit diseases and examining food and meat produced within the country and imported.
8. Protecting humans and the environment from infection with more than 120 diseases that are transmitted from animals to humans, including deadly epidemic diseases.
